Long Bio
Coco Prosecco is a Mexican-American DJ based in Brooklyn, known for blending the familiar and the underground to create dance floors where movement becomes a language of joy, defiance, and connection. Her genre-fluid sets draw from disco, funk, soul, and Latin anthems, layered with the grittier textures of hardgroove, techno, bounce, speed garage, and tech house. She builds sets full of contrast, nostalgia, and raw energy.
Her goal is simple: to create liberating dance floors that encourage radical self-expression because she believes it’s the people who light up the floor—not the DJ. She’s grounded in deep respect for the queer and BIPOC roots of house and techno, and a commitment to creating spaces that feel open, joyful, and safe.
Her sound has traveled across North America—from NYC to LA to CDMX, from art cars at Burning Man to underground parties in Bushwick. She’s played at Babestock Music Festival, was named one of 7 Women DJs to Watch in NYC by Support Women DJs, and most recently won the 2025 Dirtybird CampINN DJ Contest.
Beyond the decks, Coco is a lifelong artist. She grew up in the performing arts—ballet, choir, theater, piano—and later expanded into visual media, exhibiting eco-printed textiles, an interactive LED installation, and even designing and hand-blowing her own neon sign. She also holds a first-degree black belt in taekwondo, bringing a unique mix of discipline and playful curiosity to everything she does.
